Basically, we secure the limit against a savings account here at the credit union (Starting at $300) and issue you a card. This card builds credit for students and those needing to repair their credit from past problems. There's almost nothing to worry about as far as fees go and you don't pay interest if you pay the balance off in full each month.Close

Similar to the credit builder credit card, the student Platinum is meant for families to help build credit and understanding for young adults in a more controlled system. A student or family member can place a small amount into a savings account (Starting at $300) which is then locked down and issued as a line of credit. The student can then use the card as normal while enjoying an incredibly low interest rate. Moreover, if paid off monthly and on time, no purchase interest will accrue. Through regular, on-time payments the student credit card is building credit history that can result in lower rates on future loans. Close
