Typical Compensation: $42,598.40 | $20.48/hr. (and up)
Incentives available and generally range from $0 to $8,400 annually.

Financial Service Specialist
Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a full time (40 hour) Financial Service Specialist for our Englewood Branch, Monday – Friday. New account and Credit Union banking relationship proficiency is required; IRA background is a plus. Consumer lending (non-Real Estate) proficiency is also required; Real Estate lending background is a plus. The applicant must be skilled at building and strengthening relationships and creating member loyalty while anticipating and exceeding their financial needs through active promotion, sales and delivery of our products and services. The applicant suited for this position also must have superior in person, telephone, and written communication skills. Credit Union or Banking experience is required. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required. This position pays $20.48 per hour and higher.
Duties:
The Financial Service Specialist is primarily accountable for establishing and maintaining member relationships through active listening and matching credit union products and service to the members needs while simultaneously handling a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, which include:
- Assists members and potential members with their credit union needs in person and over the phone.
- Interviews loan applicants to obtain information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
- Identifies cross sell opportunities and successfully cross sells ACU’s product and services
- Assist members with IRA requests
- Identifies and makes recommendations regarding steps to improve the department’s operating methods and procedures
- Identifies transactions/situations to which BSA documentations should be completed and submitted
- Acts as a back-up to the teller line as needed by receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy
Qualifications:
The qualified applicant must have superior communication skills in person, over the phone, and through written form.
They must provide friendly, prompt, professional and accurate service to all members and co-workers.
The applicant is also expected to maintain a professional work environment and business like appearance and represent the credit union in a professional manner at all times.
Additionally the applicant must maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
At a minimum, the applicant needs to have two year to five years of similar or related experience. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
Base Compensation.
ACU offers fully-paid health insurance with optional upgrades. You will also have paid federal holidays, float days, 401k match, and a variety of other benefits.

Teller
Arapahoe Credit Union tellers generally work M-F and have flexible schedules that may range from 8:15 am–6:15 pm. Tellers must be skilled at building relationships and creating member loyalty while processing financial transactions timely, accurately and maintaining a high balancing record. The position also requires the necessity to learn and adapt to numerous business technologies.
